Senior Director of Programs’ Message

Each year, we serve hundreds of families in zip codes 63118 and 63104 through various social service programs – a record of service that we’re very proud of at Guardian Angel. When people are in need – whether that need is an overdue utility bill, an empty refrigerator, or few job prospects – we’re a trusted resource that can help. People come to us for emergency assistance, educational workshops and other self-sufficiency programming. It’s a holistic approach that provides a hand up, not just a hand out.

According to data from the United Way of Greater St. Louis, the types of social services we offer are among the most requested by callers, to its emergency help-line, #211. Guardian Angel is truly meeting a critical need in the community.
