Since 1859, Guardian Angel Settlement Association (GASA) has served people living in poverty by helping them improve the quality of their lives and become economically independent.
To do so, we’ve welcomed hundreds of skilled professionals to carry out our work. From early childhood educators to social workers, everyone on our team plays a critical part in helping thousands on their path to possible.
Early Childhood Center Team Members
Guardian Angel is an accredited Head Start and Early Head Start Program. Several of our teachers have worked on our team for decades. They enjoy the community focus presented daily in their work.
Social Service Team Members
Guardian Angel provides a wide array of social services including emergency rental, utility, and food assistance; senior services; self-sufficiency services; a food pantry; and a resale shop. Our social services team members work daily with clients to help them receive the resources and assistance they need to become independent.

Team member appreciation days, like Agency Day, each summer enable employees to have fun and collaborate about their work. Yearly awards are given to exceptional team members as well.
Ongoing team member trainings help build professional skills in multiple ways. There are several continuing education opportunities throughout the year.
Preschool teacher, Ms. Katina, is rewarded by the big smiles she gets when she enters her classroom first thing. She thrives on the reports from families as they tell her of the milestones their child accomplishes. She feels supported in her role, and that enables her to better meet the needs of her classroom.
