Tequila is a native to St. Louis’ South City, and she is the proud mother of three children. She also cares for her two step-sons that live in the area.

Ten years ago she had to abruptly leave a relationship. As a result she lost many of her possessions, housing, and overall personal security, leaving her feeling alone and helpless.

Luckily, a family member recommended Guardian Angel to Tequila. Right away GASA was able to provide her and her children food, resources, and utility assistance for an apartment she was able to obtain.  Subsequently, Tequila indulged in GASA’s social service offerings, including financial literacy courses and healthy cooking classes.  Over time she acquired the resources and skills to be independent, enabling her to overcome her new personal challenges.

Tequila is still a friendly face around Guardian Angel, and she attends cooking classes regularly.  She is grateful for the support GASA’s team has provided during the uncertain times in her life, and her future is clearer because of it.

She says Guardian Angel is “awesome,” and we think she is awesome too.
