Every year around the holidays, messages reemerge about helping others in need this season. Fortunately, many people manage to donate necessities like canned food and clothing; however, there are other needs that are often overlooked. Consider the everyday necessities in your life, and how they may be luxuries for others who are struggling at this time of year.
Here are some items in high demand you may not have thought to donate to our Holiday Campaign:
Baby Products
It’s no secret that babies require a lot of work. Supplies like diapers, baby formula and baby powder will help families keep their little ones comfortable and fed.
Laundry Products
The cost of laundering products can quickly add up. Items like detergent, dryer sheets and color-safe bleach will be much appreciated.
Cleaning Supplies
A clean home is a comfortable one. Donate cleaning products like household cleaners (such as Windex), mold remover, toilet/tub cleaner, and dusters (such as Swiffer products).
Toiletries
People are always in need of everyday items like deodorant, soap, shampoo, shower gel, shaving gel, shaving razors, and dental products like toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss, mouthwash and dental adhesives).
Miscellaneous
Items like lightbulbs, sandwich bags, toilet paper, paper towels, and tissues are all in high demand for those who rely on these donations for their daily needs.
