Reona Wise humbly serves in the esteemed role of Chief Executive Officer of Guardian Angel Settlement Association (GASA), a longstanding organization with over 160 years of commitment to the community. Dedicated to aiding individuals and families in need, the association provides a variety of social services, including Early Childhood Education, Self-Sufficiency workshops, Access to Food and Clothing Supports, and community development initiatives.

In 2022, Reona joined GASA with a fervent drive to challenge the existing norms and cultivate an organization dedicated to collaboration and inclusivity. Through her visionary guidance, and the hard work of the dedicated leadership team, GASA broadened its services, marked by the inauguration of the inaugural Early Childhood Education Believe Project Literacy Lab. Additionally, she spearheaded initiatives to enhance accessibility to healthcare by establishing an onsite clinic for children and families at GASA’s Early Childhood Education Center. Furthermore, she reinforced support for older adults and extended food pantry hours to better serve the community.

Reona possesses an unwavering drive, passion, and commitment toward achieving success. Her ability to inspire and foster collaborative teamwork has proven to be invaluable to the organization under her leadership. With all her ambition to strategically drive organizational growth, her foremost priority always remains steadfast: serving others.

After completing high school, Reona embarked on her academic journey, earning a Bachelor’s in Business Administration and shortly after a Master’s in Public Administration, specializing in Nonprofit Management at Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville. Her unwavering commitment showcases her exceptional determination to exceed expectations and achieve her goals. Continuing her professional development, she dedicated time to enhancing her skills and expertise, earning a Master’s Certificate in Business Management for Nonprofit Leaders from Washington University.

In 2021, Reona attained the distinguished title of International Best-Selling Author with her transformative book “Owning Your G.R.I.T”, sharing profound insights gleaned from her personal journey and the formidable obstacles she overcame. A woman deeply rooted in faith, Reona finds joy in her harmonious union with her supportive husband, Gold, as they lovingly nurture their six children. Throughout the years, Reona has consistently exemplified her unwavering commitment to serving the St. Louis Metro community with grace and an unyielding dedication to excellence.
