Though the impact financial contributions have is incontestable, donating your time or gently used items is a great, simple way to give back to your community. Despite being a time of celebration with friends and family, the holidays can be a stressful period due to business or financial strain, and though many families understand the value of charity, giving back may be the last thing on their minds.

At Guardian Angel, we want to remind you that all efforts in support of our mission to serve the St. Louis community are greatly appreciated, and can go a long way in helping others forge ahead on their Path to Possible.

Here are some free ways you can make a positive difference:

Go through your closet

Do you have any neglected items in your closet? Our Angel Boutique Resale Shop is filled with very affordable merchandise from charitable donors and generous individuals (like you) who took the time to sort through their gently used or never-before-worn items. These items include women, men, and children’s clothing, women’s accessories, home decor and furniture. The end of the year is the perfect opportunity to get rid of the clutter in your home and give back.

If you don’t have any items to part with at this time, consider volunteering to help sort donated items and run the cash register.

Another option is to shop at the Boutique for your needs- 100% of proceeds go directly to our childcare and social service programs.

Give Your Time

Every year, our organization holds a few important events and campaigns to raise funds that allow our programs to continue being an invaluable resource to the community.

By donating your time, you could help us make these important events a success.  Events include our Annual Dinner & Auction in spring, our Golf Tournament in summer, and our Holiday Campaign happening now. One way to support our Holiday Campaign is by volunteering at our agency during this busy holiday season!

Share your skills

If you’ve got a gift for working with people and have a passion for serving the community, consider volunteering with our social services programs.

Our organization is always looking for dedicated individuals to share their skills with teenagers and adults by instructing a self-sufficiency class.

Or, we could always use volunteers who are able to consistently offer their time throughout the week at our Client Choice Food Pantry.  These opportunities are great for those who have a passion to heal hunger!
