Why You Should Attend Our Golf Classic

We’re excited for one of the biggest highlights of our summer… the Annual Golf Classic. This particular golf event is not just about having a good time on the golf course – it’s about making an impact while doing so. All proceeds from this event will benefit Guardian Angel Settlement Association’s childcare and social service programs, which help guide children and families along their paths to possible by offering them a “hand up,” instead of a hand out.

As it turns out, golfing can be rewarding for players in a variety of ways. Learn why you should attend a day of golfing with us at our upcoming event:

This particular golf event is not just about having a good time on the golf course – it’s about making an impact while doing so. All proceeds from this event will benefit Guardian Angel Settlement Association’s childcare and social service programs, which help guide children and families along their paths to possible by offering them a “hand up,” instead of a hand out.

For the 25th anniversary of this event, we’re reminded of the generosity of our loyal community members and partners like Tacony, which has sponsored this event since its inception.

There’s no such thing as a quick game of golf, but one of the things that makes a day on the green so rewarding is the time spent out in nature on a beautiful day, with friends and colleagues. Whether or not golf is your preferred sport, it’s the perfect opportunity to catch up with old friends and make some new ones.

Golf is widely considered to be a mental sport, so it’s unsurprising that there are several mental health benefits to golf. Having to keep score keeps players sharp and being in the peaceful outdoors is a great way to destress and quiet the mind.

Golf may not necessarily be the first sport that comes to mind when speaking of physical activity, but it can actually be a great opportunity to stay fit.

Although it’s a low-impact sport, opting to walk (rather than using a golf caddy) offers a significant 5 – 6-mile walk to travel around a full 18-hole course. Even choosing to play less holes or walking only part of the way through the uneven terrain of the course offers a physical challenge.

Join us as we continue to do the meaningful work we’re known for, while celebrating our dedicated, supportive community with a day of  fellowship on the course. For more information or to register your spot, visit our event page.
