5 Nonprofit Organizations that Further Our Mission

The work we do is important, and we’re proud to do it.  But, you might not know some of the other agencies that help us magnify our impact and further our mission throughout the year.

Here are just a few of the organizations and ways they help us:

St. Louis Area Foodbank

The St. Louis Area Foodbank provides our food pantry with various perishable and nonperishable items via their convenient online ordering system and their monthly Mobile Market program. They also supply our pantry with chickens to give to families during Christmas and pallets of canned goods during Thanksgiving, provided by the Boy Scout’s Annual Scouting for Food Drive.

Operation Food Search

Operation Food Search connects our food pantry to local grocers that provide weekly food donations. With their help, we can pick-up the food at participating stores and stock our pantry shelves for clients throughout the year.  Additionally, they offer monthly cooking demonstrations as part of our self-sufficiency programming.

Feeding America

Feeding America sends pallets of perishables once a month through the St. Louis Area Foodbank’s Mobile Market program.

Kingdom House

Kingdom House is one of our longtime partners, and they’ve  worked with us on many programs. Each August, we partner with Kingdom House to bring backpacks, shoes, and school supplies to students from Kindergarten to 12th grade in the annual Back to School Program. In the past, we’ve partnered with them to facilitate the Teen Outreach Program (TOP) at the Gene Slay’s Girls & Boys Club of St. Louis. This program was designed to help teens and youth build relationships, decision making skills and working through tough issues in a safe, non-judgemental environment. Currently, they work with us to bring supplies to many students at our annual Back-to-School drive.

National Charity League

National Charity League plays a significant part in the production of our Annual Dinner and Auction. They provide two groups of volunteers to help that day; the first, arriving to decorate and set up the event space; the second group helps facilitate the event by overseeing auction tables and answering guests’ questions. They also provide us with volunteers to work in the Angel Boutique and other places where volunteers are needed.
